Day 8- Cave and Waves

This morning after breakfast we met up and took a scenic walk along the dramatic cliffs that overlook the Atlantic Ocean, offering amazing views of the area on the way to Carvoeiro Beach. Once we reached the beach, we put on life vests and boarded private boats that fit 6 people besides the guide and driver. We went along the Algarve coast and saw many natural sea caves even went inside a few of them. After the sea caves we could take the bus back up to the resort or hang out in the town of Carvoeiro or walk back, it was not a very far walk, just uphill and it was already getting hot outside, but we choose to look around town and walk back to the resort. We decided to eat lunch by the pool at the resort and afterwards we took a Bolt, equivalent to an Uber or Lyft to a nearby laundromat. We had enough clothes for 11 days and seeing our trip was for 32 days I knew we would need to have a hotel with laundry or have a laundromat close by. We were the only people at the laundromat on a Saturday afternoon but, it was very hot inside without A/C but, we weren't there for more than an hour the washers were quick, and the dryer was the fastest and hottest dryer I had ever used. After doing laundry we meet up with our fellow travelers at the resort for our final dinner, where a local Portuguese band performed some traditional and modern Portuguese music before we ate dinner and said are goodbyes.

Day 1 - Porto

The hotel offers a breakfast buffet in the morning in their restaurant, which is located off the reception area. After we ate, we located a coffee shop a few blocks away that had really good coffee.
