London: Buckingham Palace & Big Ben & Westminster Abbey

Today we did another tour with Viator this time we stayed in London and did a walking tour. We met up outside the Ritz hotel and started are walk through the lovely Green Park, which is a large park. At the end of the park, we reached Buckingham Palace. Seeing that this was a Tuesday we were unable to see the changing of the Guard ceremony. They only do it in September on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 11:00 AM. We then went to Trafalgar Square, where we took pictures of the stunning fountains and saw other famous buildings including The National Gallery. We continued to Horse Guards Parade, on the edge of stunning St. James Park. Next, we went to the nearby Whitehall. This is home to many grand buildings and monuments, as well as Downing Street. We then went to Parliament Square where we saw the Palace of Westminster and the iconic Big Ben clock and views of the London Eye and Churchill Statue. Our last stop was the Westminster Abbey we were given tickets to explore on our own. This is where the guide ends his part of the tour. He was very informative and had a great sense of humor. Highly recommend this tour. After we were done with Westminster Abbey, we had lunch at a Chinese restaurant nearby called Ma La Sichuan it was very good.

The hotel offers a breakfast buffet in the morning in their restaurant, which is located off the reception area. After we ate, we located a coffee shop a few blocks away that had really good coffee.
